Waterfall GPS: 34.81321, -83.11634

Water source: Cane Creek

Waterfall Height: Approximately 5 feet, with a slide above

This small cascade sits along the Palmetto Trail, approximate .8 mile from the parking for the Stumphouse Mountain Bike Park.

This waterfall is named after Dan Pollock, who was a very early driving force in the establishment of the Stumphouse Mountain Bike Park. He also worked with the Palmetto Trail to extend its western terminus from Oconee State Park to Walhalla. Dan’s friends named this waterfall after him in tribute, though Dan was unaware of it being named after him at the time.

This little falls needs some rain for it to look its best. On the day I was here, water levels were very low, and I did not attempt to get a photo from creek level.

Parking: Park at the Stumphouse Mountain Bike Park parking near Issaqueena Falls and the Stumphouse Tunnel. Parking is $5, which you can pay at the kiosk, or online ahead of time from the City of Walhalla’s website. GPS for parking is 34.80926, -83.12208.

Hike: The hike is a very easy .8 mile along the Palmetto Trail. Please watch for cyclists!
